Universitas Terbuka (Indonesia)

Project description:
This project focuses on providing online learning support for Universitas Terbuka (UT) students who are living in remote areas without a reliable Internet network. It aims to develop a local hotspot in five areas in Java island where UT’s students are located, to enable them to access UT’s online support services. The project will also develop a learning design that is adapted to low bandwidth capacity.

Universitas Negeri Padang (Indonesia)

Project description:
This project aims to build the capacity of academic and technical staff of the Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) in the development of high-quality digital learning materials and in inclusive instructional design and teaching methods, to support the university’s shift to blended learning.

Open University Malaysia

Project description:
The project aims to develop the capacity of the university’s full-time academic staff in inclusive instructional design and learning analytics to improve teaching and learning. The academic staff will apply the skills learned in developing course materials and analysing the impact of these materials on learners’ engagement. In a later phase, the program will be extended to part-time tutors towards the development of an intelligent learning environment that is able to provide effective guidance, feedback, and personalised support.

Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology (Philippines)

Project description:
The project aims to design contextualized training on innovative flexible learning for faculty of the College of Education in order to improve access to quality e-learning courses. A peer mentoring framework will be used to capacitate faculty members in designing inclusive course materials. Subsequently, the capacity building program will be extended to the other six colleges of the university.

University of the Philippines – Open University

Project description:
The project aims to design and develop a blended capacity building program for educational institutions and organizations with the potential to become zonal centers in open and distance learning (ODL), which are centers that will train teachers in developing and providing high quality open and distance e-learning programs and courses. At the end of the project, it is expected that a network of ODL centers will be established.

Wawasan Open University

Project description:
The project focuses on developing a pedagogically, technologically and socially engaging online learning experience for students through inclusive course design employing active learning strategies, and capacity building for online facilitators and teachers to foster inclusive online pedagogy. Multimodal learning resources incorporating the VARK (visual, auditory, reading/writing and kinesthetic) learning styles model will be developed to enhance learner experience.
